What is True love?

True love verses, Superficial love.

When we say we love someone or something what do we mean by this statement?

An example would be along the lines of... If you act a certain way or look a certain way or perform a certain way, I will continue to love you does that sound about right!

what this superficial proclamation of love means is that as long as your car drives perfectly and doesn't breakdown you will continue to love it

Or as long as your boyfriend or girlfriend husband/wife or even friend do not insult you or betray you or even put on weight changing the way they look you will continue to love them!.

This is superficial love as it comes with conditions so as long as they or it acts or performs a specific way then love is guaranteed! It could never be love it can only ever be (I like you) as it comes with conditions or you could push it and say (I like you a lot) until! you act or do something that causes me to no longer like you!

True love is unconditional as it comes with no conditions. it is evident in all area's of life!

A person that continues to love another person no matter what they say or how they act towards them! or they put on a few extra pounds or grow older, loving them for the entirety of their life they could be close friends or husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend or the same sex it matters not all that matters is that unconditional love has and is being exercised. Or It could be a person that has a very old car or lives in an old tattered home and they still love it even though its falling to pieces.

And if the car breaks down they'll say its okay old girl we'll have you up and running in no-time or if it cannot be fixed it, it spends its life in the garage because they cannot bring themselves to scrap it because they truly love it so, exercising unconditional love!

So if your love for another person or animal or thing comes with conditions it isn't true love it is merely like! I like you a lot.

And if you haven't experienced true love yet then you can choose to give it to someone or something no matter what, as what goes around comes around or what you reap is what you sow! you get what you give!
