Have you ever found yourself at the other end of an angry or abusive or overly judgemental parent or when you were a child face to face with an abusive child or adult or stranger saying not very nice things! to you.

What If I was to say that it was never about you. That what they were saying was how they felt about themselves at a fundamental level.

That it was a reflection of what they believed about themselves from abandoning themselves when they needed support and rejecting themselves on top of other people doing this.

The only reason other people rejected you was because they rejected themselves frequently and so they wanted you to feel like them or not loving themselves when they needed love

Or undervaluing themselves by believing they were worthless. How did this happen? why did this happen. because there was a time in our life when we loved being us as children before we allowed ourselves to believe that what other children or adults or teachers were saying to us was about us and not about them!.

The first step is compassion or self compassion with daily practice we will become more fulfilled loving and kind thoughtful and considerate and supportive of other people because this is what we have for ourselves each and every day!

The next time someone is rude or abusive to you or you witness someone acting this way choose to become conscious of the hurt vulnerable child in them that is trying with all its might to displace this feeling of rejection and hate and worthlessness that they have for themselves in this moment on to you! or on to someone else with the abuser walking away thinking that you bought the LIE that it was all about you!!!

They require our compassion and love and support! Please be kind to each other as we are all going through battle's of our own but first and foremost be kind to yourself and this will reflect what we give to each other and to the world.
